Custom fields in Operations
Main → Settings → Custom fields in Operations Premium
Your own fields on operation lines — a Supplier invoice No. on deliveries, a Lot number on sales. They’re separate from the fields on items, which live in Item fields. The custom fields guide walks the workflow; this page is the screen. StoDo Simple only for now.
The list
Section titled “The list”| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| + | Adds a field — the editor below opens. |
| Tap a row | Opens that field in the editor. Each row shows the field’s name, type, and Excel column. |
| Drag the handle | Changes the order of the fields. |
| Swipe left, or long-press | Delete — after “All data stored in this field will be deleted. Delete this field?” |
The field editor
Section titled “The field editor”| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Name | The label on the operation line. Two fields can’t share a name. |
| Data type | String, Number, Date, or Multi-line text. |
| Use in Operations | One switch per type — Incoming, Outgoing, Stock-taking, Transfer. The field appears only on lines of the types switched on. |
| Excel column for Imp/Exp | The spreadsheet column that carries the field in imports and exports (Do not use to leave it out). |
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- A new field starts with every Use in Operations switch off — switch on at least one type, or the field shows up nowhere.
- Values are per line, not per operation: each item line carries its own.
- Without Premium, the subscription offer appears as the screen opens, and again on adding or editing a field — what Premium covers.
