Billing problems

Main → drawer → Your subscriptions

StoDo bills through Google Play, and that decides how every problem below is solved: purchases belong to the Google account that made them, and cancelling happens in Play, not in the app.

I paid, but Premium features are still locked

Section titled “I paid, but Premium features are still locked”
  1. Check the phone is online and signed in to the same Google account that made the purchase — that’s what the entitlement follows.
  2. Open Your subscriptions from the drawer and use RESTORE PURCHASES. The app answers plainly: “Purchases successfully restored”, “No new purchases found”, or “Failed to restore purchases. Please check your internet connection and try again.”
  3. “No new purchases found” on the right account usually means the payment is still pending in Google Play — give it a little time and restore again.

Nothing to re-buy: install StoDo, make sure the phone uses the Google account that purchased, and run RESTORE PURCHASES once if the features don’t unlock by themselves.

In Google Play: Play Store → your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription — and neither does deleting your StoDo Online account, which the app tells you separately. A Lifetime purchase has nothing to cancel — it’s one payment.

Where a trial is offered — “Try 7 days for free and cancel at any moment*” — billing starts when the 7 days end, and the fine print keeps its promise: “If you cancel within 7-days free trial period you won’t be charged.” Cancelling works the same way as above, in Google Play.

  • The database owner’s subscription serves the whole team. An invited user tapping a gated feature sees “Access to this function requires a subscription. Contact the database owner …” — that’s a message for the owner, not a bug.
  • Subscriptions are per app: StoDo Simple and StoDo Online are bought separately.

Use Need support? on the app’s main screen — it reaches us directly. For refunds, Google Play’s own refund process applies, since Play handles the payment.
